IIoT Enablemend 2nd meeting
The 2nd Meeting of the IIC Research Group „IIoT Enablement“ took place in the Steinbeis Haus of Management and Technology in Hohenheim on Thursday 25th January 2018. Dirk Slama, Professor Heiner Lasi and Daniel Burkhardt were the leads of the meeting. The overarching goal of the research group is to do research on instruments, techniques and actions which can help enterprises to implement solutions in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Furthermore, the group want to develop new concepts, models and methodologies, which help the enterprises to integrate the IIoT.
The meeting started with the introduction of the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) – it´s organization, structure and goals, followed by presentations (“Valuation of Data and it´s Networks” and “Additive Manufacturing”) of new members. Moreover, an impulse presentation to the topic research methodologies and introduction to the empirical social research was hold. In the second half of the meeting, the IIC Security Framework by an IIC Working Group Lead was introduced. Forms of collaboration and exchange with groups or people outside of the research group and public relations were discussed. Following, the participants planed the next steps for their research collaboration. The next meeting will be in Berlin in summer 2018.
